General informations

The, International Ballet Company Messapica is an international classical & contemporary ballet company based in Puglia, town of Mesagne in the Southern of Italy ,aiming to provide viable opportunities for young talents within Italy and abroad.
Thanks to the hospitality of the Teatro Comunale di Mesagne, we are able to present several performances every year, from October to July.
Our repertoire includes the most important titles from the ballet repertoire of the 19th and 20th centuries and will ensure shows throughout the theater season from October to June for all company members !

THE AUDITON IS EXCLUSIVELY ONE ROUND – ONLINE WITH RECORDED VIDEOS .

NO LIVE IN PERSON AUDITION WILL BE HOLD !

Regulation

AUDITIONS ARE OPEN FOR :

MALE AND FEMALE DANCERS AGED BETWEEN 17 AND 20 FOR INTENSIVE INTERNSHIP AND PERFORMANCE PROGRAMS.
DANCERS AGED 18 AND OVER OF ANY NATIONALITY – FOR PERFORMANCE PROGRAMS, CONTRACTS, AND/OR APPRENTICESHIP POSITIONS.

BOTH CATEGORIES MAY APPLY FOR FULL SEASON STAY PROVIDED THAT THEY HAVE EU PASSPORTS AND/OR NATIONALITIES .
SHORT STAY UP TO 90 DAYS NON EU PASSPORTS HOLDERS

2) FULL BODY PHOTOGRAPH (showing the lines of the dancer).

3) VIDEO SOLO (classical performance)

4) VIDEO SOLO (Contemporary Performance / Improvisation)

N.B.

Uploaded videos must be current and recorded in the year 2025/26 . Videos can be shot in any space (indoor/outdoor, competitions, shows) with or without costumes, as long as the recordings are clear and crisp.

Logos of studios, schools and companies are allowed in the recordings.

The dancers’ bodies must be clearly and completely visible throughout the entire video.

Note: SPECIAL EFFECTS are NOT allowed.

The video must be complete; Editing multiple videos is not allowed.

The candidate will receive notification of the pre-selection outcome at the email address indicated in the Registration Form. The decisions taken by the Artistic Committee are unquestionable and not subject to debate.

DURING THE SEASON 26/27 ALL COMPANY MEMBERS (INCLUDING TRAINEES & APPRENTICESHIPS COMPANY MEMBERS ) WILL GET COVERED TRANSPORTATION, MEALS AND PAYMENT / PERFORMANCE, DURING ALL OUR INTERNATIONAL TOURS !
